Book Review
I got an opportunity through a company called Book Sneeze. You can receive free books if you are a blogger and you review them on your blog and on another consumer website.
I chose to select the book Friendships for Grownups: What I Missed and Learned Along the Way by Lisa Whelchel.
have to admit that I chose this book mainly because I grew up watching the show, "The Facts of Life." I loved the character Blair and I was quite intrigued with her book. The title of this book "Friendship for Grown-Ups: What I Missed and Learned Along the Way" says it all. While being on a popular television program, it was hard for Ms. Whelchel to make friends. Since then Ms. Whelchel has not only grown up but she's found high faith which made her stronger. Ms. Whelchel describes friends who were there for her and she also admits to being betrayed by some friends as well.
This book had a lot of heart and soul poured into it and she made it seem like I was reading a book written by a friend of my own. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that questions their own friendships. This book honestly made me take a long, hard look at the friendships that remain in my life and made me wonder who was on a path to leading a glorious relationship with our Lord. For, I believe, you must have a good relationship with Him before any other friendships will succeed. It was also pretty cool reading a book from one of my teen idols! Go ahead and grab this book! You'll be glad you did. I loved it and hopefully you will, too!
Booksneeze is a wonderful opportunity to get free books for yourself or your children. There is a vast array of books available to review. You should definitely check it out. I mean, who doesn't like free books?

Tuesday TV commercials
You can find almost ANYTHING on you tube these days! I found some pretty awesome tv commercials that made me smile.
Get in shape girl!
This one includes a couple of commercials from Saturday morning Supercade. I especially like the McDonalds one!
Poochie, that's who!
My Buddy and MEEEEEEEEE!
Who could forget this Tootsie Roll commercial?
Who wears short shorts?
Remember these little commercial "bumpers" for cartoons in the 80s?

Monday Music Videos
Remember when MTV still played videos? Or even before that, remember Friday Night Videos? On yesterday's post, I revealed that I believe the cheesiest song of the 80s was "Let's Go All the Way" by Sly Fox. I'm going to back that up even further by showing the cheesy video as well! I will include some other ones that might bring back some memories of the original MTV!
"Don't Switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no
Don't masquerade with the guy in shades, oh no"
And drink some cherry wine, uh huh!
I especially liked it when the traffic announcer comes on in the middle of the song! For some reason that only happened on the radio and not in the video. But, you know what I'm talking about!
I love her freestyle dancing! It really adds to the video!
Haha, this one even had a dedication. Would you EVER dedicate this song to anyone? OMG!
Now, don't get me wrong, I did jam out to these songs! However, the videos were ridiculous! Gotta love the 80s!
