Pet Peeves

A few days ago, my friends Lindsay and Jamie blogged about their pet peeves. I thought I would post my own pet peeves and join in on the fun. :)

Everybody has pet peeves. Here are some of mine.





























~People who stand too close to me in the check out line at the grocery store. Seriously, when I can hear you breathing, it's time to take a step back. Also, please stop watching me put in my pin number. Give me some space.



~When people misspell something that should've been learned in grade school.
For example:
Know the difference between they're, their and there
And it's of course NOT of coarse
(And, I know you're not supposed to start a sentence with the word AND)


~People who hum or whistle. This seriously bothers me.



~Dropping by our home without calling first. I think it's rude.



~Braggers. There's a fine line between tooting your own horn and being annoying.



~When I'm at the nail salon getting my nails done and they say...
"You Need Pedicure!"
Maybe I do, but I am just here for my nails today.



~I hate getting hounded when I walk into a retail store. Bath and Body Works is the worst about this.

More Happy Mail

I received a couple more happy mail packages and wanted to share them with you.

First of all, Meg sent me these amazing stickers for my collection. Can I just tell you how much I love Meg? She and I have grown so close and I honestly don't know what I would do without her. We even talk on the phone now and I usually don't go a day without conversing with her in some fashion. LOVE HER!!! Thank you, Meg! I love these stickers!

I also received a very cool package from Haley today. She sent me a Valentines themed goodie package and it is very much appreciated! Thank you sweet Haley! You definitely brightened up my day! Look at the goodies she sent me!

100th post and Happy Mail

I can not believe this is my 100th post! WOW! I am thinking I should have a giveaway for my 100th post. I'll have to come up with something great! In the meantime, check out some of my incredible happy mail from Jamie and Carol...


Jamie and I have become really good friends and I'm so thankful for her! She found these stickers and pins while out shopping and instantly thought of me. How sweet!

Carol sent me an amazing happy mail package full of Strawberry Shortcake goodness! Carol is so incredibly talented and I feel so blessed to have her as a friend. Thank you, Carol!! This package included the following:

Crocheted Lipstick Caddy complete with a tube of Chapstick

Strawberry Whoppers candy

Happy Mail and Happy Anniversary

Well, this has been one fantastic weekend with my husband! We celebrated our first anniversary yesterday and it was a great day! We went to Kirklands and I picked out a painting and Alan bought it for me. It's beautiful and has golds and aquas in it to match our master bathroom and reads..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me..."

We had a lovely dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse and we ate some of our delicious wedding cake. We were so busy at our wedding reception that we didn't get a chance to eat a whole piece of cake that day, so thank goodness for the tradition of eating wedding cake on your first anniversary. Mom had it in her freezer and brought it to me a few weeks ago. I put it in my freezer and took it out Sunday morning, and it really was good. I was skeptical at first, but we really enjoyed it and we had fun reminiscing about our special day.


I got some wonderful happy mail today from my good friends Lindsay and Meg. I have made such wonderful friends through my blog and these 2 girls are favorites of mine!

Lindsay made me my very own treasure box in my 2 favorite colors...red and green. Yes, I know they are Christmas colors, but they are my favorite anyway. Plus, it will look really cute as a Christmas decoration this holiday season! She hand painted it and even included some of my favorite candy. Thank you, Lindsay!!! I love it so much! I had a hard time getting a good picture, but here's what the top of the treasure box looks like...


























My friend Meg knows that I collect stickers and she surprised me today with several sheets of scratch and sniff stickers! I absolutely love them! Stickers are the way to my heart! :) Thank you, Meg! I love them and YOU! Check these out...





























I am a very lucky girl to have such an amazing husband and such wonderful friends in my life! Thank you again sweet friends!
