Good Lord I'm tired! I have been on a cleaning streak. You know once you get started you can't stop? That's what happened to me. I normally keep a pretty clean house but I still had a few Christmas items hanging around and I knew I wanted to put those away. Then I noticed a spot on the kitchen counter so I decided to clean the entire kitchen and clean out the fridge. I washed some dishes, mopped the floor, unloaded the dishwasher, got the trash ready for Alan to take out, and then I made chicken spaghetti.
If that wasn't enough, I then decided to clean our master bathroom. I had no idea how many lotions I had from Bath and Body Works that I don't use. I did a major "have I used this is the last year, do I really want to keep this" routine and decided to clear out many products. Do any of you have shower gels and body lotions that just sit in the bathroom never touched?
I am so proud of myself because I went to Wal-Mart and bought a ton of those storage containers with the pull out drawers to store all of my craft items. I now have a little craft corner that is all neat and organized. I will have to take a picture of it. Mind you, it is nothing compared to Jamie's craft room or Lindsays's craft room but hey it's something and at least it's not scattered all over our home anymore. I have drawers for yarn and string, stickers, cards and stationery, pipe cleaners, stencils, foam sheets, fabric, ribbon...you get the point. I am so excited. Aren't rooms so much happier when they are clean?
I'll be honest with you, another reason for my cleaning spree is because my Mom is coming tomorrow. I haven't seen her since Christmas Day. I know that's not too terribly long, but I do miss her and she hasn't been to my house in awhile. My mother is the ultimate perfectionist when it comes to a clean home. Her house looks like it came straight out of Better Homes and Gardens. Anyway, I just want her to be proud of me. I never get tired of getting praise from my mother.
We are going thrifting tomorrow. Woohoo!!!! Then Mom wants to take Alan out to eat for his birthday. His birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but she wasn't able to see him then, so she is graciously taking us out for a belated lunch. We always have a blast together when we hit the thrift stores. Wish us luck.
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my good friend MEG! Love you girl! Hope you have a great day tomorrow! You are a doll!
Good night friends.

Ha, just keeping my half of the dorm clean is a large task for me. Doing some major cleaning would overwhelm me. (But the finished product IS amazing. :D)
It's why I'm going to try REALLY hard to not have a ton of stuff when I move out on my own... Less stuff to clean. ;)
I have a ton of body lotions & shower gels that just take up space in my bathroom, and it doesn't help that I work for a bath and body company!
